Oxdog ULTRALIGHT HES 25 AU OVAL MBC2

ULTRALIGHT HES

ULTRALIGHT HES series is one of the best floorball sticks series by OxDog. Shafts ULTRALIGHT HES are made of the premium and the lightest carbon - HighPressure carbon. To achieve the lowest weight there are used lightweight plug, grip and lightweight blade. ULTRALIGHT HES sticks are one of the lightest floorball sticks in the world. ULTRALIGHT floorball sticks have no competition in the floorball world. These floorball sticks are designed directly for players who want to be the best!

You can find all the Oxdog technologies directly on the stick. There are pictures of the used technologies on the floorball stick. Here is the list of them:

  • LC - Sticks with LC have a lightweight plug. The plug is smaller, thinner and lighter. Lighter plug = lighter stick. The plug is so small that you may feel like there is no one on the stick. This suits some players, but there are also those who need a bigger plug because it helps them better control their stick.
  • Ultra light shaft - This is the designation of the weight category to which the stick belongs. OxDog uses 4 weight categories for its floorball sticks: Hyper light shaft, Ultra light shaft, Super light shaft and Light shaft. Ultra light shaft sticks are one of the lightest sticks by OxDog.
  • Carbon T2500 – OxDog uses several types of carbon from T600 and above. T600 is the heaviest carbon, on the contrary, the carbon designation with a higher number is the lightest. The heavier the carbon, the greater its resistance and vice versa. Heavier sticks are therefore more durable than light weight ones. OxDog's carbon stick is labeled "carbon T/HP + number indicating carbon quality".
  • CPB - CARBON POLYMER BLADE - Sticks with this designation are equipped with a carbon blade. More information about the carbon blade can be found below.
  • Hyper fast is the category of your stick strength and speed. OxDog divides its shafts into 4 groups (Hyper, Ultra, Super and Medium fast). Floorball shafts Hyper fast have the highest speed and thus transfer the most energy to your shots. So hyper fast sticks are the fastest sticks!
  • Blow molded - Blow Molded is pressing floorball shafts by using air pressure. The material with the resin (the glue that holds the floorball stick together) is inserted into the mold and around the air bladder at the same time. The shaft mold is heated to the desired temperature. The air bladder begins to fill with air when this temperature is reached. This bladder pushes the material from the center of the mold to its edge. Any sticks shape (oval, round, hockey) can be made by this method. Floorball shafts made in this way have perfect balance and high strength.
  • HES resin is type of resin used for this sticks. Lightweight HES resin is used to achieve the lightest possible stick. So the shaft with HES resin are the lightweight floorball sticks.

HES

HES - or HIGH ENERGY SHAFT. This is a unique combination of stick technology. The combination of these factors creates sticks, which are:

  • extremely light
  • high strength
  • at least 20% faster
  • have almost twice the service life

Handling shapes

There are several types of handling shapes, but there is no universal recommendation which shape is the best. It is just a subjective feeling. The OxDog handling shapes are:

  • ROUND - This is a round handling shape. 90% of floorball sticks have this round handling shape.
  • OVAL - This is an oval handling shape. This oval handling shape provides a firmer grip on the stick, but there is higher weight because of more material. This type of handling shape is suitable for players with larger palms.
  • SWEOVAL - This is an oval profile. The name SWEOVAL stands for Swedish Oval. This Swedish oval differs from the classic oval by its size (SWEOVAL is less noticeable). Basically, we can say that the Swedish Oval is an intermediate between the classic round grip and the oval grip.
  • D-OVAL This is a square handling shape with rounded corners. This grip is specific to OxDog sticks. The basic shape of the grip is oval, but the upper part is flattened by 5 mm, so the final shape is a square. However, compared to the HOCKEY handling shape (square profile ), the edges are rounded.

OxDog FSL (FASTSHOOTLIGHT) Carbon 2

The Oxdog FSL floorball blade (FASTSHOOTLIGHT) is a light blade. Its weight is only 68 grams. Of course the emphasis is not only on the weight. FSL blade (FASTSHOOTLIGHT) is also excellent in ball control. After all, that's why it was created. Oxdog FSL (FASTSHOOTLIGHT) blade has a concavity 9.5 mm. The cavity extends from the heel to the tip. The entire blade is also pre-bent. This pre-bend starts before the middle rib and goes towards the tip of the blade. The tip turns very slightly inwards and down.

The ribbing as well as the bottom edge and tip are based on Oxdog OptiLight. The ball control is much easier and shots are more accurate with this blade. The already mentioned ribbing gives the blade high rigidity, so the blade can transfer energy well to the ball. This blade gives you fast and accurate shoots!

The blade pre-bending causes that the back is significantly bend. The blade bends from half its length. This, of course, affects the backhand game. The blade does not provide enough space for the backhand, so it is not 100% suitable for it. However, FSL compensates it with its forehand game, especially with sweeper shooting!

The FSL blade excels mainly in its weight. FSL is a light, stiff blade and you can control the ball perfectly with it. Only 68 grams makes it one of the lightest blades by the OXDOG. It is a very pre-bent blade, with high concavity. It has a rigid heel and a well-shaped tip, so it can be well bent according to the player's needs. We would recommend it to players who like shooting especially sweeper shoot.

Carbon plate

The blade contains a carbon plate. When you choose a floorball stick by OxDog, you may notice the letters MB/MBC or NB/NBC on Oxdog. These letters indicate the hardness of the blade (MB - medium Blade, NB - normal(soft) Blade). The letter C in the name indicates the embedded carbon plate in the blade. (MBC - medium Blade with Carbon, NBC - normal Blade with Carbon). The carbon plate should prevent the blade from twisting and make the blade more rigid. The blade is harder and therefore better transfers energy to your shoots = harder shoots! You can also find the designation MBC/NBC + number (2) on Oxdog floorball sticks. This is a classic blade with a carbon plate, just the number indicates the number of these plates.

OxDog ULTRALIGHT GRIP

OxDog ULTRALIGHT GRIP is a grip in which great emphasis was placed on its durability, especially in the most stressed parts so that this grip can withstand the maximum possible load and the speed of its wear was minimal. It holds perfectly in the hands, does not slip and wicks sweat away perfectly.

Key properties:

  • thinner (1.7mm) and lighter
  • standard long grip
  • excellent anti-slip properties
  • extra long life
  • very pleasant grip with perforation for better sweat wicking
  • very light
  • vibration absorption

It is perforated.
